“You Don’t Realize What This Means to Me,” says Katie Maciak after becoming Givling’s most recent Free $5,000 Queue Award Winner

With 2 out of 3 American households owning pets, Katie of Erie, Pennsylvania is the proud owner of two adorable pups, Phoebe and Audrey. As any pet owner can say, dogs become part of the family and the incredible relationship you build with them is priceless. However, Maciak recently received news that no one ever wants to hear. Phoebe, the Staffy/German Shepherd mix, may need an expensive life-saving surgery.

“I wasn’t sure we could go ahead with the surgery until I found out I had won Givling’s Free $5,000 award”, shared Maciak. “This is a huge weight off my shoulders as I can give Phoebe the best treatment possible. You don’t realize how much this award means to me.”

Maciak heard about Givling, the world’s only trivia crowdfunding game, several years ago when the app reached a milestone of paying out $1,000,000 to its users. “It has been so incredible to watch Givling grow throughout the years and help out others like me. I am thrilled to be a part of such a great movement that brings hope to so many people,” stated Maciak.

Knowing her dog Phoebe will be cared for, Maciak plans to use any remaining funds to pay off credit card debt and prepare for her future. “I am in my second year as a full-time artist. I took the leap right before Covid hit, so it had been quite challenging wondering if I made the right decision.”

While not painting, Katie and her husband enjoy hiking, camping and getting lost in a great book. “Oh, and playing Givling of course,” laughed Maciak. “Givling is really helping so many people who don’t have enough help otherwise. It’s also fun and I’m thrilled to be a part of the community!”
