A born and raised Houstonian, Balouch can’t say enough great things about his city. “I love the diversity, the culture, the creative people, and the FOOD!” he exclaimed. “While traffic is rough and the summers are hot and humid, there’s lots to do and a delicious restaurant for anything you can think of!” 

Balouch studied at the University of St. Thomas (Houston) and like most Americans, he used student loans to cover the costs of school. He was the first in his family to graduate from college and learned about Givling after seeing a post about it on social media in 2016.  

With over $58,000 in student loans and supporting his wife and two children, Balouch felt that Givling was tailored made to him as it gave him hope to be free of his student loans. 

“Student debt has crippled me and made me filled with a lot of regrets and bitterness about college and the promises that were made to me. When I graduated and started my work life, it was overwhelming to think about paying the debt off and I wondered if I could ever successfully clear it off my head,” he shared.

However, the Force for Good has helped another person as Balouch secured the Free $5,000 award.

“The money will be a big help when it comes to getting me and my family in a better and more comfortable financial standing. We are trying hard to realize our dreams of owning a home, and this will be a small step in the right direction.”

When asked for advice about playing Givling, he stated that all it takes is 10 minutes or less a day.  “Stop scrolling on TikTok and just devote a few minutes a day. My wife would pick on me for being on Givling and I would always tell her that I’m working towards something on there. Look at me now!”
