When You Help Others, You Might Just Help Yourself – Trauma Nurse Coordinator Laura Wolfe is Givling’s Latest $2,500 Winner

Givling is proud to announce our latest $2,500 Free Queue winner, Laura Wolfe, a Trauma Nurse Coordinator from Scottsbluff, Nebraska!

Laura was overjoyed when she found out she had won the $2,500 award from Givling. “This award will help me and my family in so many ways! I’m in such shock that I don’t even know what I’m planning on doing with it yet!” She found out about her win while getting her son ready for school when she logged into the Givling app and saw that the funding thermometer had rolled over. “I had been watching my status in the $2,500 queue multiple times per day and kept going from 1st to 3rd place, so when I saw that it had been funded, I went straight to the current funding recipient and saw my name! I was so excited that I screamed out loud and startled my son lol!”

Laura first heard about Givling in 2019 when she read a news article about how the platform helps players pay off their student loans (which has now evolved to where a recipient can use awards on Givling towards whatever they wish). With over $200k in student loans herself, Laura knew she had to check it out. Once she started playing, she realized how easy it was to crowdfund others and even had a chance to help herself as well. “Givling really is a Force For Good. All it takes is a few minutes a day, which most of us are spending on our phones anyway, and you have an opportunity to make an impact on someone’s life. During the pandemic, with all of the craziness going on, Givling was the one constant in my life. Thank you Givling!”

Laura currently has approximately $220,000 in student loans between herself and Parent Plus loans for her daughter. She encourages others to keep playing and making a difference in the lives of others. “Keep on keepin’ on!”

When she’s not working as a Trauma Nurse Coordinator at a critical access hospital, Laura loves chasing storms, riding in her CanAm Maverik, and playing golf. She is married with two awesome kids and two dogs, a Black Lab named Harley and an Alaskan Malamute named Juke. Laura and her family are currently working on finishing their unfinished basement so that they can sell their house and build their forever home.

Laura’s Givling journey is a reminder that a small act of kindness, like playing a trivia game on your phone, can make a significant impact on someone’s life. Congratulations, Laura, on your well-deserved win!
